05/12/2009 It felt more like fall than spring as we pushed off this morning with a brisk 49 air temp. We did the hit and runs today and much like Springs of the past the action is all or none. We had 3 Bass today ranging in size from 18" to 22" but despite the low numbers to the boat the action stayed pretty steady. A good amount of short strikes, the usual Springtime mystery fish that will crush your lure, unstoppably peel line off, then get off. In other words those Spring time lurkers are right on schedule.
