Another day, another batch of Bass. Today was a
pure bluebird Fall day with calm winds, smooth, slick, calm water, air
and water temps in the mid 50's and flats filled with happy tailing bass.
The first hour and a half today was spent stalking groups of very happy
rolling and tailing Bass very willing to take a top water presentation.
In our first location we had 6 bass to the boat all on topwater and missed
another 4, at least, missing the plug on the aggressive take. The top
water bite shut down soon after the sun got high so we switched to a sub
surface attack. They continued at the same furious pace, moving very predictably,
which allowed us to stay in front of Bass the entire day at each location.
Their size was a cut smaller than yesterday, but for the day we had nearly
2 dozen Bass between 20" & 23." |
