10/14/2009 Overcast skies, calm winds and no boats and looking good, so far. We slipped out pre-storm with big winds to come up around noon time. We had good moving water early in the trip as we settled down at our first spot. We could already see Bass moving about 100yrds up from us as we worked our way up( with the Bass that still are managing to always keep that a perfect 100yrs. distance at all times). As we finally closed the gap, we were going to have a good opportunaty to get a couple of nice shost at a few good Bass that were tailing and pushing good amount of water off to our side. The first shot gave us a light tap on the line but the shot was the chard as he jumped on it instantly. Throwing some good on the take we knew it was a good fish as he took off down the side of the flat on a great first run and five minutes later we had a fine 29" 9.lb Bass to the boat. Photographed and released in great shape. We again remained if front of Bass for another couple hours before the winds kicked up and shut the bite down. In all for the day we had 8 Bass, water temps 57.
