10/22/2009 We had the mojo working big time today with ideal conditions, 45 degree air temps, slick, calm, 54 degree water, and basins filled with tailing and waking bass. We came out of the shoot today with a fast pace, catching 6 Bass at our first flat of the day all on top water, tracking very predictably. We kept that pace, staying in front of large pods of Bass for the next 5 hours with the action and size of the Bass increasing with each passing hour. Truly a top notch Fall sight fishing day that dished up conservatively speaking 20+ Bass with all but 1 taken on top water. We raised and missed at least that same amount. As expected there was a great range in size of the Bass today, measuring from 24" - 32" that's not including the submarine sized 34"+ monster we saw laid up, with dorsal and tail fins waiving like a flag up in 11 inches of water, but just could not hook him up. School is now in session
