11/13/07 Man did it feel good to get back on the water today and as I had hoped , the action picked up right were we left of a week ago. With good moving water and slick calm conditions we stayed in front of bass all day long. The fish seemed to be laid up in singles but ever so often we would come across a nice group of 5 or more and all willing to take topwater presentation. In fact all of today's Bass for the exception of 2 were on top including the beautiful 11 lb. specimen that we took out of 18 inches of water. All the Bass today were tracking well and laid up were they should be laying. The interesting thing about today was the Bass that you could see to sight fish would not eat but it was those lurking beneath the glare on the water that were the ones who would explode on our surface lures. We had about 7 Bass today in total (not including all the others raised on topwater) and all were fat ranging in size from 26'-34". Water temperatures have dropped substantially into the prime zone of 48 - 52 degrees.
