Well here we are once again at the end of another action packed Summer Striper season and poised to enter the Fall migration. Again this season you will be treated to the experience of being guided on my new Maverick HPX-V 17 which was silently get us even closer to those tailing Bass than ever before. You will find the details and pix of the new skiff on the Boat page of my site. Now that we approaching the fall run nows the time to lock in dates for a list of both my FLA 2011 as well as Fall NJ dates e-mail me. The 2010 Striper season as a whole was a productive one with some very memorable days logged with mini blitzes popping up throughout the back country offering fast paced action in the skinniest of waters. The last few weeks of the season were purely top notch with huge schools of migrating Bass making their way across the shallows in a feeding frenzy. The entire season was a very stealthy one with a tactical top water bite and a red hot subsurface bite, but I must say that when they did hit on top water it required focus and patience like on my 11/22 trip, and when you found them subsurface they were thick as thieves, 11/03, 11/10, & 11/12 This season’s largest groups of Bass moved in early November and stayed around steady for the remainder of the fall season. As it happened, the largest Bass for the 2010 season was a tie, between 2 long time clients. This beuaty was taken on 11/03 by Dave Bruner in 3 feet of water, last few casts of a great trip and a real trophy back country Bass and the seasons other trophy came a week later on 11/12 by 2009 winner Dave Yen. A great way to end the season. If you wish to receive weekly fishing reports and stay on top of the action (click here) stating you would like to be added to the list.
